So Abram left, as the LORD had told him... (Gen. 12:4) And without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. (Heb. 11:6)
I think if it were easy to walk by faith, there would be many more believers in the world and it would not be so difficult for sinners to lay down their sins at the feet of Jesus and pick up the cross. But also faith wouldn't mean as much. We humans value what is difficult to obtain.
ReplyDeleteFaith is difficult because it requires us to go against what has been ingrained in our psyche since birth.. to be independant and rely on ourselves.
Faith requires complete devotion, trust, and love. It requires us to realize that this life we live is not our own, but Christ's alone.
Just a few humble thoughts from what the Holy Spirit is teaching me in my life.
