- I'm a pastor at Central Christian Church (www.centralfs.org). I've had the privilege of being in this church since 1983 and on staff since 2005. I've been married to Tracy since 1981 and we have two boys, Matthew who serves in the US Navy Band, and Adam who is an IT Specialist at J.B.Hunt Trucking. I love the Lord Jesus with all my heart, and most of my adult life has been a journey of learning to walk by faith.
I think if it were easy to walk by faith, there would be many more believers in the world and it would not be so difficult for sinners to lay down their sins at the feet of Jesus and pick up the cross. But also faith wouldn't mean as much. We humans value what is difficult to obtain.
ReplyDeleteFaith is difficult because it requires us to go against what has been ingrained in our psyche since birth.. to be independant and rely on ourselves.
Faith requires complete devotion, trust, and love. It requires us to realize that this life we live is not our own, but Christ's alone.
Just a few humble thoughts from what the Holy Spirit is teaching me in my life.
